This year, we are introducing four pre-summer school workshops designed to help participants build skills, connect early, and prepare for an even more rewarding experience in Piran. More details about the full series will follow soon.
We are pleased to announce the first workshop in this series:
Title: Use of AI for Learning by Paul de Roos
Date: 12 March
Time: 19:00–20:30 CET
Format: Online, interactive session

About the Workshop
Abstract: Use of Large Language models such is rapidly expanding, but not all uses support you in learning. This workshop will walk you through principles of use of models and the free possibilities to support your learning process. We focus on the use case, where you rapidly dive into an unfamiliar topic and use AI to help you with orientation and creating depth in your understanding. We will also look at critical appraisal of results and how to figure out when your results are sufficiently reliable and for what purpose.
With the skills you learn, you will support your own studying for your next exam, but also prepare for a more enjoyable experience during the TBrainBoost summer school, if you choose to participate!
Learning objectives
prerequisite: you have free or paid access to one or more popular large language model AI services and access to a computer (this session is not likely enjoyed in a “phone only” setup).
After this 1,5 hours interactive workshop you will
- understand the basics of experiential learning and how AI can support each step
- familiarise yourself with advanced prompting strategies supporting learning (ACTA+, RISE+).
- experience how AI can help you tackle challenging topics faster.
We are also excited to share the first news about TBrainBoost Summer School 3.0, taking place 15–19 June in Piran, Slovenia.
